Douglas knew from early on in his relationship with Darla that they would someday be heavily involved with Seniors. After all, the only type of movies that Darla wanted to watch when dating were movies like "Driving Miss Daisy" and "On Golden Pond".

Our Setting & Environment

Lakeside Gardens is a senior care home which overlooks the calm waters of Wiser Lake in Lynden, Washington. This serene setting is also home to many eagles, a nest of blue herons, trumpeter swans, and numerous wild and domestic geese and ducks which we enjoy watching from the comfort of our lovely home. Our residents can enjoy picnicking and feeding the local ducks right at the waters edge.

Surrounding the home is over an acre and a half of beautiful gardens which have won awards in Whatcom County in Bloom contests. Each private room has a lovely view of either the gardens or the lake. And several of the rooms have their own private patio in the old fashioned fragrance garden.
